In this design Gloria Gardiner, depicts the land meeting the sea.
Gardiner is a prominent Aboriginal artist of the the Northern Rivers born in the Aboriginal community of Goodooga, Northwest of NSW, the traditional land of the Kamilaroi/ Gamilaroi people’s. This artwork describes the landscape that Bianca, her daughter loves, where the land meets the sea.
The pure wool is dyed in situ and the stitching is done by hand, the chain-stitch being a traditional Kashmiri handicraft.
